DOES THE RESULT LOOK WRONG?

Help us improve this calculator.

HOW IT WORKS

A result to understand, not just read.

Choose the animal, enter its age and, for dogs, select the approximate adult size. The result uses a staged model rather than the misleading one-year-equals-seven-years shortcut.

  • Dogs and cats mature faster in their first years than later in life.
  • Dog aging patterns vary with adult size.
  • The human-age number is an analogy, not a medical measurement.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why is the result not simply age times seven?+

Growth and aging are not linear. Pets mature very quickly early in life, and dogs of different sizes age differently later.

Does the result determine when my pet needs care?+

No. Preventive-care timing depends on species, breed, health history and veterinary guidance.
