HOW IT WORKS

A result to understand, not just read.

Enter an amount and choose the source and destination units. Convert bits and bytes using decimal or binary prefixes, up to peta.

  • One byte contains 8 bits. Decimal units increase by a factor of 1,000; binary units by 1,024. For example, 1 TB = 1,000 GB, while 1 TiB = 1,024 GiB. TB and TiB therefore represent different amounts of data.
