    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the difference between TB and TiB?+

One byte contains 8 bits. Decimal units increase by a factor of 1,000; binary units by 1,024. For example, 1 TB = 1,000 GB, while 1 TiB = 1,024 GiB. TB and TiB therefore represent different amounts of data.
