The calculation runs in your browser. CalcuPop does not store or send the personal details entered.

Where two people would obtain the same code, the Revenue Agency may assign a different omocodia code.

Enter the personal details and choose the birthplace from the register. The result is an informative reconstruction: only the Italian Revenue Agency can assign or certify a codice fiscale.

HOW IT WORKS

A result to understand, not just read.

The Italian tax code for an individual contains sixteen characters derived from surname, first name, date and sex, the Belfiore code for the place of birth and a final check character. This calculator searches the historical register of Italian municipalities and foreign countries, but the result remains an informative reconstruction.

    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

    Is the generated code official?+

No. Only the Italian Revenue Agency can assign or certify a codice fiscale. Use its official verification service before relying on the result.

Why might my official code be different?+

The Revenue Agency can issue an omocodia code where two people would otherwise receive the same code. Differences in registered personal data or historical place names can also matter.

    RESULT GUIDE

How the Italian codice fiscale is constructed

The sixteen characters combine personal data, birthplace and a formal check digit. The standard algorithm is useful for reconstruction, not identity certification.

    01 · FORMULA

    The sixteen-character layout

CCC NNN YY M DD PPPP C

The first six characters represent surname and first name; the next five encode date and sex; PPPP is the Belfiore birthplace code; the final character checks the first fifteen.

    02 · WORKED EXAMPLE

    Fictitious worked example

    • Mario Rossi
    • born 22 March 1975
    • Rome, male
    The standard reconstruction is RSSMRA75C22H501I.

This example does not identify a real person. An officially assigned omocodia code can differ.

03 · HOW TO READ IT

    How to interpret the result

    • Use the result to spot likely transcription errors, not to prove identity.
    • Select the birthplace that was valid on the date of birth.
    • Check correspondence through the Revenue Agency service.
    04 · LIMITS

What the estimate does not include

    • The standard algorithm cannot know whether an omocodia code was assigned.
    • Historical municipality changes and differently registered data can alter the result.
    • The code held by the Italian Revenue Agency is authoritative.
